Madagascar agate cab ~
Offered here is a fascinating cabochon of dendritic agate, from Madagascar. This stone has scalloped ribbons wending from point to point, as well as white cored fortifications adrift in the translucent, almost opalescent, background. The agate itself has a bluish cast to it that I find attractive, with one small yellowish area, and it's wonderfully translucent, as shown by the backlit photo. I think it'll make an extraordinary item of jewelry, or a fine addition to your aggie collection. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a graceful designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
