Flame agate cab ~
Offered here is an intriguing cabochon of flame agate, from Mexico. Out of a large crate full, only one end of one of the cobbles of rough had these unusual pale pink plumes, while the rest was the more traditional flame agate. Looks a little like some sort of underwater vegetation to me, wafting in the current. There are also some reddish fortifications framing the plumes, and blackish ones with a slightly metallic sheen adding to the stone's character. Gorgeous! The cab has a low rounded dome, a sweet designer shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
