Apache jasper cab ~
Offered here is a well marked cabochon of Apache jasper, actually a rhyolite, also known as Mimbres Valley jasper since it's harvested there in New Mexico. This striking example features the typical sagebrush figures in pleasant shades of maroon contrasting strongly against dusty pink and off-white. It should provide plenty of inspiration for any talented designer. The stone has a well rounded dome of 6mm, and unlike a lot of the lesser quality material, this one took an excellent polish both front and back.
Size: 34x29mm
