Offered here is a cabochon of Biggs jasper, from Oregon. A long time favorite in the celebrated family of porcelain jaspers, this classic material has become quite collectibly rare and spendy these days. This scenic example features rolling hills on a stormy day, in rich earthy tones of brown with several streaks of rare 'blue', with a grayish brown 'sky' above. It has a well rounded dome of 7mm, a drop shape that contains the jasper's pattern nicely, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
