Agua Nueva agate cab ~
Offered here is a gorgeous cabochon of Agua Nueva agate, from Mexico. I often find that I favor this material even more than its long prized and famous cousin, Laguna agate, found nearby. This example features orange moss and tubes, with those still inside the agate showing a lovely pink hue. There are some nice fortifications too, composed of tiny white dots, and some darker bands in a very attractive orange color, all beautifully translucent. Toward the tip is a small open pocket with sparkly drusy crystal. The cab has a high rounded dome of 7mm, a versatile designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
