Regency rose plume agate cab ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of regency rose plume agate, from the famous digs in eastern Oregon. This example was cut from grand old stock, and is loaded with frilly plumes. You know, I love the old material! It has so much more going for it than the newer stuff. The plumes are mostly golden, with blushes of rose, orange and a hint of red, with a delightful depth that these flat photos don't capture. There are also some sparkly drusy pockets, one of which sits in a pool of pale blue agate with ghostly bands. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a fat 'flame' shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
