Marra Mamba tigereye cab ~
Offered here is an amazing cabochon of genuine Marra Mamba tigereye, a highly collectible rarity from Australia. This startling material is, hands down, the most outrageous tigereye ever found, and this gem is a rather unique example. It features shimmering pearly chatoyance in teal blue that rolls and flashes through the stone. At the edge of the blue areas is a bold stripe of velvety chatoyant orange and a stripe of shiny metallic hematite. The body of the stone is composed of colorful jasper, in lime, green and gold shades, with splashes and streaks of blood red. There are several ribbons and patches of gleaming hematite (one of which closely mimics a tiny evergreen tree!), sub-metallic matrix, and scattered freckles of both. YUM! This cab has a high rounded dome of 7mm, a crisp designer 'almond' shape, and a fine polish both front and back.
