Tigeriron cab ~
Offered here is a large and fancy cabochon of Australian tigeriron. This unique stone was cut from hand picked material, selected especially for its patches of gleaming flash and blood red bands. This splendid example has an almost banded pattern of chatoyant golden tigereye, alternating with ribbons of dark silvery metallic hematite both separating and framing them. There's a bit of banded red jasper here and there too, mostly concentrated in one corner. The contrast is exceptional, truly amazing. The cab has a crisp designer 'spear' shape, a low but nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and it is beautifully polished both front and back.
