Royal Aztec lace agate ~
Offered here is a lovely cabochon of royal Aztec lace agate, from Mexico. Seldom seen, this agate has become most difficult to obtain these days, especially the best quality. This cab is a fine example, nicely translucent, with delicate razor-thin lacy bands in white and pastel lavender in a background of beautiful deep purple agate. There are a few stress fractures present within the stone near the tip, mentioned for accuracy's sake; I think the stone is outstanding nonetheless. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a long and sleek designer 'spear' shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
