Offered here is a fancy cabochon of Owyhee jasper, from Oregon. This famous member of the porcelain jasper family is rapidly becoming scarce and spendy these days, especially the variety with reds. This example features a wild jagged pattern in rich, earthy ochre edged with red, framing a background colored a creamy pastel. One of my all time favorite jaspers, this classic treasure will do you proud, no matter what your plans for it. The stone has a low dome, a designer oviod shape, with a slick glassy polish both front and back.
