Amethyst cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of chevron amethyst (quartz), from Brazil. It features lovely shades of purple, with V shaped bands in white going across the stone. The color zoning represents extended growth lines in the crystal itself, and there are also veils, dark purple streaks and other crackly inclusions present in the stone, illustrated by the backlit photo. It has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a pleasant designer shape, and a glistening polish both front and back.
