Oolite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of oolite, or so the dealer told me, origin unknown. Strange stuff, indeed, and kinda cool! It looks an awful lot like opalite to me... The orbs have a gemmy quality to them and are translucent, but the lighter cream colored background area is more opaque, as is the steak of dusty rose-pink. Very unusual and interesting, I think it'll look splendid in either gold or silver. The cab has a generously high rounded dome of 8mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and it took a surprisingly glassy polish both front and back.
