Mexican lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a distinguished cabochon of RED Mexican crazy lace agate. This classic old stock material is always a joy to work with, and this fascinating example does a good job of illustrating why. It has beautifully lacy fortification banding, scalloped at the edges, separated by crystalline pseudomorphs, very ornate and intriguing. The wonderfully contrasting colors remind me of an old Dryhead agate specimen I've had in my collection for many years, which also has this same combination of red, pink and white. Some areas are translucent, adding character and uniqueness. No doubt you'll be well pleased with this one! It has a very high rounded dome of 8mm, a crisp designer shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
