Offered here is an amazing cabochon of Wave Hill agate, from Australia's Northern Territory. It's not often that a 'new' material becomes an instant favorite of mine, but this exceptional agate won my heart from the very first. Please take a good look at the details in this stone and you'll see why I'm so excited about this world class agate. This example is a real prize, with a wild array of patterns in deep burgundy red, dusty rose, pink and purplish gray. There are fascinating orby figures, scallops, fortification bands and multiple ringed bullseyes, each contributing to the appealing character. What an impressive contrast, eh? The uniqueness of each Wave Hill agate makes it a lapidary's fantasy, a collector's MUST HAVE, and I have no doubt it'll be a jewelry designer's best friend. This stone has a generously high rounded dome of 7mm, a gracefully curved designer shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
