Priday plume agate ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of collectibly rare Priday plume agate, from the Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. This captivating stone was cut from some grand old stock which had been stashed away for decades in the cherished collection of an old gentleman rockhound, and I was extremely blessed to have been able to purchase a bag full of slices from his living estate. Oh for joy!!! This stone has a delightful display of ornate plumes and moss suspended in a translucent agate background that shows them off beautifully. The stone is like a portal on an underwater scene, and the colorful plumes appear to grow from a rocky ledge, surprisingly similar to real corals on a living reef, wafting in the current. It's truly an amazing treasure that anyone would be proud to own. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a gracefully curved designer 'paisley' shape, and despite a small fissure on the backside, it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
Size: 50x18mm
