Offered here is a large and unique cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. This outstanding old stock material is simply delightful to work with, another member of the fine grained porcelain jasper family I love so much. This one features a wild streaky webbed pattern in a rich variety of light and dark avocado green shades, with areas of deep forest green. The darkest area is very gemmy and translucent, as shown in the backlit photo. It's a beauty, well worthy of your best creative efforts! The stone has a low rounded dome of 5mm, a bold designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
