Offered here is a cabochon of malachite, from Zaire. It features the classic beauty of countless fine bandings in rich, vividly contrasting shades of light and dark green. Perhaps one could make use of the dark X pattern in the stone and carry it over to the setting itself. It's sure to look grand in your choice of either silver or gold, no doubt. The cab has a rounded dome of nearly 7mm, a designer 'spear' shape, with a super glossy polish both front and back.
