Pilbara jasper cab ~
Offered here is a bold cabochon of Pilbara jasper, a recent Australian find, fresh from this year's Quartzite shows. This new material certainly cuts a striking stone, with contrast aplenty. This example has a black background with deep red and pink streaks, and just a hint or two of yellow. The impressively artful criss-crossing road map pattern really catches the eye, and I think it has a boatload of designer potential. If you do too, snag it and make it yours!! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, a crisp designer shape, and a great glossy polish both front and back.
