Crazy lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a distinguished cabochon of Mexican crazy lace agate. This classic old stock material is a joy to work with, and this fascinating example does a good job of illustrating why. It has beautifully lacy fortification banding that frames tiny fingers of sagenite, very ornate and intriguing. There are also scallops and a few tiny bullseyes in contrasting orange, cream, peach, charcoal, and tan. The bands running down the inside curve are translucent, as shown by the backlit photo, which adds much to this stone's appeal. No doubt you'll be well pleased with this one! It has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a graceful designer shape you'll have fun with, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
