Variscite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of gorgeous variscite, from Utah. This is a terrific example of fine old stock material that's become rather scarce these days. It features cool greens that remind me of pistachio ice cream (my favorite), with deeper minty green streaks. There's also a nice showing of spiderwebbing, adding much to the stone's character. I think the rich green color of this variscite is something a computer monitor cannot do proper justice to, really, but the pics give you the idea; it's one nice stone! The cab has a well rounded dome just shy of 6mm, and it is polished both front and back.
