Willow Creek jasper cab ~
Offered here is a deluxe collector's cabochon of Willow Creek jasper, from Idaho. This treasured porcelain-like material is becoming increasingly hard to come by these days, particularly in the top quality everyone most desires. The very special rough for this stone came directly from the sole miner of Willow Creek jasper, and I was absolutely thrilled with what was revealed by the very first slice, and every one thereafter! This stone is a study in shades of reddish-brownish-mauve, with peachy pinks and cream, in a wildly artful light and dark pattern, and plenty between. This jasper is one of Rain's favorites, only this one just happens to be 'too large' for her style of jewelry... but if it works for you, grab it! -smile- It's sure go nicely in either a gold or silver setting, or as a centerpiece in your collection. It has a high and well rounded dome of nearly 7mm, a designer 'flame' shape, and a glassy liquid polish both front and back.
