Dinosaur bone cab ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. It's one my young son Chris cut. This silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. Over millennia, the cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with a very pretty blue agate which, with the help of the reddish webbing, takes on a somewhat purplish tint. Each cell is framed by a web of the actual cell walls, now a deep red, forever frozen in time. The cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a big bold shield shape, and it is polished both front and back.
