flame agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of choice flame agate, from Mexico. This is the grand old stock material, none too easy to come by in this calibre. It features an almost striped pattern of flame-like plumes in a very appropriate shades of brilliant reds, laced between with purples. The background agate is more translucent than the photo illustrates. Along one edge is a row of lightest pink lace, and at the opposite edge is deep maroon and yellow, from which the flames seem to emanate. Gorgeous! The cab has a low but rounded dome of 5mm, a plump teardrop shape, and a bright glassy polish both front and back.
