king cobra jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon cut from king cobra jasper, from India. This recent material arrived with blindingly bright new tropical hues, quite unlike the cobra jasper I've seen before, which is drab by comparison. The new stuff is a colorful blend of peachy coral, crimson, yellow and orange, and oddly enough, there's scattering of jet black dendrites too. The grayish areas are filled with a quartz blend, and the pool of white quartz toward the wide end has some nice sparkle to it, though it did not shine up much. It makes for a neat effect, if you ask me. It certainly brings on a craving for mangos!!! Try some, I'm sure you'll be thrilled! The stone has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a sleek designer 'shield' shape, and with the exception of the white quartz mentioned above, it took a fabulous polish both front and back.
