brecciated mookaite ~
Offered here is a cabochon of brecciated mookaite, a newly offered material from Australia. This colorful stuff is very glassy by nature, quite different from mookaite. So to get the facts, I directed a query about its composition to one of the two mining partners involved. He said it's basically an opalite (radiolarite), and it is not agatized to any extent. I think it's absolutely gorgeous! Try some, you'll be well pleased! This cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
