Carasite cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of premium carasite jasper, from Oregon. This wonderful old material is a member of the fine grained porcelain jasper family, closely related to its more famous cousin, morrisonite jasper, found nearby. Like morrisonite, it takes a dazzling shine. This stone is a outstanding example, featuring an odd line pattern in red, which bisects the stone from end to end. On one side are shades of lemon chiffon with swirling hints of avocado, and at the other, it's peach, mauve and browns with blushes of crimson. There's even an orb! Collectibly gorgeous and unique! The cab has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, a gracefully fluid designer shape, and polished to perfection both front and back.
