Offered here is a HUGE cabochon of top notch African pietersite. This long graceful stone is a real beaut, featuring golden yellow chatoyance in a silky, swirling, folded pattern that dances with the light. Accents of reddish orange, with green and blue at one corner, add even more color to the appealing palette of this stone; please be sure to click the pics to enlarge them to full size to see the fine details. There's a neat druzy pocket, surrounded by lemony agate with fortications and subtle tubes, and even some tiny mosses within the translucent body of this stone, quite a collectible rarity! It has a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, and a fine glassy polish both front and back. And considering how the cost of fine pietersite has sky-rocketed in recent years, my per carat price for a stone of this size and quality is a steal!
