Dinosaur Bone cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Utah's fossilized dinosaur bone. This silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. The cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with red agate, framed with blackish webbing. Some cells have a yellowish tine, and some, particularly at one edge, have 'shadows' of the very palest green (almost white). This substantial cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, and it is polished both front and back.
