Marra Mamba tigereye cab ~
Offered here is a sweet cabochon of genuine Marra Mamba tigereye, a rarity from Australia, cut by my son Christopher. This startling old stock material is, in my opinion, the most awesome tigereye in the world, and this gem's a great example. It features flashy blue and yellow chatoyance, which rolls and gleams from the cab. The two hues touching gives the illusion of green, and it stands out wonderfully in a background of very colorful jasper. There's also quite a bit of shiny silvery metallics (hematite) in this one, in the form of ribbons down one side, as well as scattered flecks. Please note: There are a couple very fine hairlines present, but they're hard to spot, nothing that will affect the cab's durability or soundness It's a treasure! The cab has a well rounded dome of 6.5mm, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
