Rhodochrosite cab ~
Offered here is a collectibly rare cabochon of rhodochrosite, from Argentina, cut from a slice of stalactite. Not easy to come by like it once was, last I heard, the price of classic rhodochrosite is strictly controlled by the Argentinian goverment. -grr- This magnificent stone features vibrant pink coloration that's invitingly glowing, simply delicious! It has a few of the typical crystalline veil inclusions sparkling within, along with a single largebullseye, and a delightful degree of warm translucence when backlit. This deluxe beauty has a designer 'catseye' shape, with a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, and it is polished to a lustrous brilliance both front and back.
