Rose Agate cab ~
Offered here is a delightful cab of rose agate, brought in from Mozambique, Africa a few years ago. Great name for this chalcedony because it obviously has beautiful rosy pink colors. This jelly-like example has saturated hues of crimson to reddish orange along with the rose, in a subtle pattern of ghostly banded scallops, as well as a bullseye, best illustrated by the backlit photo. There are also several odd finger-like tubes floating within the stone at one edge, and a thin edging of grayish-purple around most of the perimeter. The cab has a rounded dome of 5mm and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
