Flame agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of flame agate, from Mexico. This one was cut from old stock material that's becoming harder and harder to come by nowadays. It features the type of pattern I think of as 'torn curtains', though the figure here is red on deep red with just a little contrast between the two, it's very appropriate for this classic flame agate. The background is nicely translucent, as the backlit photo illustrates, and contains tiny bits of lacy moss and sparkles of crystalline quartz. Gorgeous! The cab has a well rounded dome of 6mm, a versatile designer shape, and a slick, glassy polish both front and back.
