Priday moss agate cab ~
Offered here is a fascinating cabochon of Priday moss agate, from the Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. I've had several boxes of old nodules stashed away for many years, and only got around to sawing into some of them this past fall. And what great FUN it's been to be the first to see inside!! This example has a mixture of mossy green tendrils, ghostly white fortifications, and crimson red accents, adrift in pools of translucent purplish agate. The surrounding matrix frame also has attractive coloration, in burnt orange and avocado. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a crisp designer 'arrowhead' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
