Sonora Sunrise cab ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of Sonora Sunrise, from Mexico. It's a striking blend of greenish-blue chrysocolla and blood red to orange cuprite, with dark tenorite, and it's totally natural. Rough rock can be pricey, depending on the quality, but I think the eye catching stones that it cuts make it worthwhile. This example is a patchwork of the aforementioned colors, and it also has a darker reddish brown and flecks of olive green as well. The blackish areas have an odd metallic sheen here and there. Sonora Sunrise is amazing stuff that become hugely popular almost overnight, and I encourage you to try it in your own jewelry. This substantial cab has a high and well rounded dome of about 7mm, a crisp designer shape, and a great glossy polish front and back.
