Prudent Man agate cab ~
Offered here is an intriguing cabochon of Prudent Man plume agate, from eastern Idaho. This relatively new material was dug from vein number one of the Prudent Man mine. Rough rock from either of the two veins will cut beautiful stones, and I'm really fond of its green plumes, which is something of a rarity in the rock world. This example has a wild pattern of plumes that practically defies description, so I'm just going to let the photos do the talking here. I don't have much more of this remarkable plume agate on hand, so if this cab appeals to you, grab it! The stone has a well rounded dome of 5.5mm, and a designer 'bullet' shape with a smoothly polished finish both front and back.
