Offered here is a cabochon of malachite, from Zaire. It features the classic beauty of countless fine bandings in rich, vividly contrasting shades of light and dark green. The darkest area at one side has a bit of chatoyance, which shows a little sparkle. And there are orbs and bullseyes down the other side. This one will look absolutely magnificent set in either silver or gold, no doubt. The cab has a well rounded dome of 6+mm, a bold designer shape, with a super glossy polish both front and back. WAY under a buck a carat!!!
