Offered here is a large cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. This classic porcelain jasper is always a pure pleasure to work with, having the even hardness necessary for an excellent glassy shine. This particular example has a simple but unique pattern in soft avocado greens alternating with ivory. There are a couple of interesting details that set this one off, so please be sure to click the photos to enlarge them to full size. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a gracefully bold designer shape, and it is brilliantly polished both front and back.
