Carasite cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of premium carasite jasper, from Oregon. This wonderful old material is a member of the fine grained porcelain jasper family, closely related to its more famous cousin, morrisonite jasper, found nearby. Like morrisonite, it takes a dazzling shine. This stone is a outstanding example, featuring a wild streaky pattern in shades of olive, orange, peach, and more. Collectibly gorgeous and unique, despite a couple pinpoint voids. The cab has a beautifully rounded dome of 6mm, a gracefully curved designer 'paisley' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
