Sonora Sunrise cab ~
Offered here is a remarkable cabochon of Sonora Sunrise, from Mexico. This fabulous new material has a wonderfully striking color combination, and it is 100% natural. Rough rock is on the spendy side, but I think the brilliant cabs it yields make it well worthwhile. This vivid example has a patchwork pattern of blood red and magenta cuprite, with some fine blackish webbing contrasting against green to blue-green chrysocolla. This stone also includes some deep green, making it an exceptionally colorful example. It's truly amazing stuff, just bristling with designer potential, as this delightful stone just naturally captures admiring attention wherever it goes. I think you'll do great things with it, in even the simplest of settings. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6+mm, a crisp designer shape, and a surprisingly glossy polish both front and back.
