Charoite cab ~
Offered here is a delightful cabochon of charoite, from the only deposit where it's ever been found, in Russia. This cab features a marvelous degree of pearly chatoyance, with great purple coloration. There are some blades of jet black aegirine-augite, as well as a couple pools of feldspar that add character. It's easily nice enough to be worthy of a gold setting, despite a few teensy pits on the backside. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, a curvy designer shape, and a fine glossy polish both front and back.
