Skull Springs agate cab ~
Offered here is a unique designer cabochon of Skull Springs agate, cut from the heart of a top shelf Oregon thunderegg. I acquired a bunch of nodules in an old horde, but only one had such fiery colors; most tend to be more bluish or clear, from what I've seen. That exceptional example cut only this one stone, featuring an outstanding fortification in translucent agate, with intricate white edging. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, an elegant teardrop shape, and an superbly glassy polish both front and back.
