Ocean jasper cab ~
Offered here is a freeform designer cabochon of ocean jasper. This relatively new jasper comes from Madagascar, where it is literally mined in the ocean waters near the shore. With all the seemingly endless variation this material boasts, it's easy to understand the fast popularity it has enjoyed; it's always a pleasure to work with, to collect, and to set and wear as adornment. This cab features a superbly wild pattern in greens and grays with some thin fortification framing a sparkling crystal druzy pocket. A snowy white background really sets it all off perfectly, but in person, I think the cab has more character and detail. The cab has a well rounded dome, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
