Carnelian agate cab ~
Offered here is a designer cabochon of superbly fiery Oregon carnelian, also known as orange chalcedony. It features juicy translucent cherry-orange coloration, with a good pattern of internal 'cornflakes'. I tried my best to capture the flakes inside this stone; sadly, my efforts fell short, until I snapped the backlit picture, which shows it well. It has a very high rounded dome, a gracefully fluid shape, and an excellent glassy polish both front and back.
