Pietersite cab ~
Offered here is a good-sized cabochon of gorgeous pietersite, from China. This dark beauty has velvety swirls of deep red, burnt orange and blue pearly chatoyancy, with just a touch of gold here and there. Please be sure to click the pics to enlarge them to full size to take in the details. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, a curvy teardrop shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back. Compared to what I see on the net and elsewhere, this cab is a steal at just under $3.00 per carat!
