Raspberry tube agate cab ~
Offered here is a designer cabochon of top notch raspberry tube agate, from Mexico. This superbly figured agate is relatively new material being made available to lapidaries, and I must say I like it a lot! It is mined at the Crown Of Silver psilomelane claims as an extra added bonus. The nice raspberry coloration is due to the infiltration of rhodonite, so the miner tells me. There are also several dark bullseyes of psilomelane in the crystalline agate base, some subtle fortifications, and a small druzy 'eye' for added appeal. Some sparkles beneath the glossy surface too. All in all, it's a truly inspiring material that's sure to capture admirers wherever it goes. The cab has a very high rounded dome, a gracefully elegant shape, and a brilliant polish both front and back.
