Here is a hefty cabochon of beautiful blue lace agate, from Africa. This classic old favorite material is getting pretty scarce and spendy lately, especially in the finest quality that everyone seeks. This cab features a delightful frilly pattern in bluish-lavender tones, alternating with lighter bands of translucent and clear agate. One thing I've noticed that all blue agates seem to share in common, is their tendency toward what I term 'moodiness'. The dimmer the light, the deeper the color, but always gorgeous and widely appealing. Anyway, whatever you choose to do with this beauty, it'll look wonderful, no doubt. The stone has a very high rounded dome, a gracefully crisp shape, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
