Dinosaur bone cab ~
Offered here is a collectibly gorgeous cabochon of fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. This highly silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. Over millennia, the cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with purplish-blue agate of subtle tones, with a blush of yellow-orange edging in many cells. Each is framed by the actual cell walls, which are a contrasting jet black, forever frozen in time. The cab has a very high and well rounded dome of nearly 7mm, and an excellent glassy polish both front and back.
