Rutilated quartz cab ~
Offered here is an extra large, deluxe cabochon of rutilated quartz, from Brazil. This spectacular example features water clear quartz that's absolutely jam packed with 'angel hair' needles of golden yellow rutile. At its heart, several are grouped in radiating star patterns, which makes this rare beauty quite collectibly unique. And looking at the photos, I must say it's even prettier in hand; the stars are really quite dramatic and impressive. Seems appropriate, somehow, that I saved this one for Christmastime. You'll want to dream up something truly spectacular to best show it off, and place it front and center! The stone has a generously high dome of 10+mm, which is perfect for the cab's size and shape, and a brilliantly glassy 'wet ice' polish both front and back.
