mystery cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of mystery agate, perhaps better termed 'jasp-agate', since it is apparently a mixture of both jasper and agate. This unnamed material caught my eye at an estate sale because of its vivid, fiery contrast, and so of course I had to snag it and give it a try. In this stone, my imagination sees the incandescent lava flows of Hawaii's Volcanoes Nat'l Park, as they make their way to the ocean. The bluish-white tendrils are translucent when held to the light. I think you'll do great things with this one! The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a sleek designer shape, and an excellent polish both front and back.
Size: 57x22mm
