Apache jasper cab ~
Offered here is a scenic cabochon of Apache jasper, actually a rhyolite, also known as Mimbres Valley jasper since it's found there in New Mexico. This fabulous material just smacks of southwest flavor, doesn't it? You betcha! And this intriguing example features the typical sagebrush figures looking much like the deserts of the legendary old west, in pleasant shades of maroon and dusty pink. It should provide plenty of inspiration for the design of your next masterpiece. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, and unlike a lot of the lesser quality material, this one took an excellent polish both front and back.
Size: 47x17mm
